We saw lots of elephants and spotted deer. We also saw peacocks, a gaur (Indian bison), a fresh water crocodile, monkeys, a sambhar deer and assorted other critters. This was definitely one of the highlights of the trip so far.

Rajiv Gandhi National Park
After Mysore, we visited Rajiv Gandhi National Park. We stayed at King's Sanctuary Resort, outside the park and took safaris in. It is one of three game parks adjacent to each other. It is about 110 square miles, but the three are about 600 square miles total. We bounce around in the back of jeeps for 9 hours over two days.
